The San Francisco Tenderloin is a district located south of Market street. Its hey day 1930-1950 the area was known for speak easy dance clubs and pool halls. In the 1980's the area became rampant with drugs, alcohol abuse, homelessness and violent crimes. The area is still rough today but is being gentrified slowly I began to look at the images I made as a young man and the current images I am producing on the area.
It is a look forward and a look back. MIAH
